How will I be taught?
Teaching is primarily studio based, with associated lectures, seminars and workshops
Roughly how many hours will I be taught each week?
As a broad guide, a full-time undergraduate might be taught for 10 hours a week, with further time made up of scheduled, guided learning and student-managed learning.
How will I be assessed?
Your work will be assessed by coursework, essays, individual presentations, group work, practical work and exams.
Can I transfer from another degree course?
Yes. When you transfer, we can also transfer credit from a previous course, so you may be able to use some of your prior learning, subject to an assessment.
What is the social life like at CRIC?
There is an active Students’ Union which organises regular events. There are also many clubs and societies you can join, ranging from skydiving and rowing to football, music and horse riding.
Does it matter that I am a mature student?
No. We welcome students of all different ages and have traditionally had a mix of age groups.
What kind of support do I get as an international student?
To help you, our ‘Welcome and Orientation Programme’ will introduce you to your new environment, CRIC staff and other students. We know that organising your new life is an exciting challenge, so we will help you by providing: On-campus accommodation, available if you book early enough. Free healthcare provision at on-campus medical centres. Specialist advice on immigration or related issues. Information and guidance on working entitlements both during your studies and after you have graduated.
